Why do I need to visit the dentist regularly?
If you only visit the dentist for tooth pain or a dental emergency, the damage has already been done. Regular visits, at least every six months, allow Dr. Michael McBride and our team to monitor your smile for any developing issues so that we can treat problems that you may not have realized were there.
What should I bring to my first appointment?
- Your new patient forms
- A dental insurance card (if applicable)
- Personal identification, such as a driver’s license
Will I need to wait a long time for my new dental crown/bridge?
McBride Dental is pleased to offer same-day dental crowns, bridges, and veneers. We utilize CEREC technology to create custom, permanent restorations in just one visit, so you can leave our office after only one appointment with a happy smile on your face.
My dentures don’t fit well. What should I do?
Dr. Michael McBride offers one-hour denture repairs and relines. If your dentures need to be replaced, we would be happy to provide you with custom-made full or partial dentures. Please contact our office if you would like to make an appointment.
Should I still see the dentist if I have dentures?
Yes. Visiting the dentist is about more than just your teeth. While you may not be at risk for tooth decay, you will still need to see Dr. Michael McBride for adjustments, oral cancer screenings, and periodontal care. Regular visits to the dentist will help your smile stay comfortable and beautiful.
How long does teeth whitening last?
The longevity of teeth whitening results varies for each patient. You will need to touch up your smile every few months or years to keep it white. If you consume coffee, red wine, tobacco, or acidic foods, your smile will begin to yellow sooner. We invite you to contact our dentist for answers to all of your whitening questions.
Why should I choose dental implants for tooth replacement?
While other dental restorations can sufficiently repair your smile, dental implants are the only option that replaces the root of the tooth, providing a full synthetic tooth that looks and feels like your natural smile. We are pleased to offer full service implant dentistry at McBride Dental for dental implants and implant-supported dentures.
I’m nervous about my upcoming appointment. Can you help?
Absolutely! Dr. Michael McBride and our team strive to make each patient comfortable at our office, and we are happy to offer sedation dentistry if you struggle with dental anxiety. We encourage you to contact our team in advance to discuss your options.
